1.

The prices listed in our price lists are final. The old casting received in exchange must meet the following conditions:

A.

The old casting must be free of cracks or welds, including broken crankshafts. Must have the main bearing caps installed. Missing main bearing caps make an engine core worthless; main bearings cannot have spun; core cannot have been over-bored.

B.

All castings must be the same YEAR, MAKE and MODEL that was purchased. For example:

67-79 350 4/B Chev. purchased must be a 67-79 350 4/B Chev. We WILL NOT accept a 283, 305, 327 or 350 2/B Chev.

69-79 350 2/B Chev. purchased must be a 67-79 350 2/B Chev. We WILL NOT accept a 283, 305, 307, or 327 Chev.

80-81 350 2/B Chev. purchased must be a 80-81 350 2/B Chev. We WILL NOT accept a 67-79 2/B Chev.

73-81 250 Chev. purchased must be a 73-81 250 Chev. We WILL NOT accept a 67-72 250 Chev. or a 65-70 230 Chev.

C.

Engine casting must have all of the parts on it that are furnished with replacement engines.

D.

Junk yard engines or rusty engines are not acceptable.

E.

Parts not returned as part of block casting will be charged as follows: Piston Rod Assy. $4.00 each. Cam shafts $10.00 each Crankshafts-Current price as catalogued in crank kit price sheet.

F.

Old casting must be free of "Hot" main journal locations
For example: Burned (black appearance) main journals due to lack of oil pressure.

The old casting must be returned for credit within ninety (30) days of invoice or we will assume the replacement was sold outright and remove it from our records of engines on which deposits can be credited.

3.

Customer should check for broken crankshafts, broken camshafts, broken Con. rods. All of these are visible.

4.

We will not be responsible for items left in or on old blocks (lifters, oilpumps, oil pump bolts, oil pump drive rods, oil screens, timing covers and bolts, harmonic balancers and bolts, oil pans, dipsticks, dipstick tubes, fuel pump eccentrics, woodruff keys, etc.)

Advanced Engine Exchange warrants to the original purchaser that each remanufactured engine sold by Advanced shall be free of defects in material and workmanship when used as intended and with periodic maintenance as set forth by the original manufacturer, subject to the following terms and conditions.

General: Advanced will repair or exchange, at Advanced option, any defective part, which fails during normal use within the warranty period.

Warranty period for automobiles, and trucks under 1 ton capacity:

Remanufactured longblocks  for 12 months from date of invoice, unlimited miles.

Remanufactured shortblocks for 4 months from date of invoice, unlimited miles.

Warranty period for marine, motor home, taxi, off-highway, and 1 ton and larger capacity trucks:

Remanufactured longblocks for 3 months from date of invoice, unlimited miles.

Remanufactured shortblocks for 1 month from date of invoice, unlimited miles.

Warranty for engine installations done by Advanced:

Remanufactured engine installations will have an additional labor warranty for the periods stated above.  Advanced will repair or replace, at its facility, any part supplied by Advanced which fails during normal use and maintenance.

Exclusions and limitations:

This limited warranty will be void and not apply to defects and failures caused by accident; abuse; over-revving; racing; operation for which it was not designed; alteration of drive train or suspension from the original manufacturer; contamination; improper installation; overheating; freeze cracks to blocks and heads; burned or melted pistons; lack of lubricants and fluids; detonation or pre-ignition; worn thrust bearings caused by pressure on the rear of the motor; or damage to covered parts caused by failure of parts not supplied by Advanced.

This warranty covers only parts supplied by Advanced and Advanced will not be responsible for incidental or consequential damages; lost profits, sales, or income; injury to person or property; freight; oil, antifreeze, or fluids; towing charges or storage fees; rental car; or unauthorized repairs.

Claim procedure:

Covered parts must be returned to Advanced, out of chassis, unless installed by Advanced.  Covered parts will be inspected by Advanced and may require inspection by the remanufacturer.  In the event that either determines the parts to be defective, Advanced will repair or exchange covered part.
